Meet Coach Kim
Kim McCullough, Director & Founder of Total Female Hockey, has trained, coached and consulted with over 5000 players, 1000 coaches and 100 teams, from novice to National teams, on how to take their on-ice performance to the next level through on and off-ice player development.
Coach Kim is a passionate entrepreneur, speaker, coach and consultant. After spending the majority of her hockey career tired, injured and frustrated, Kim has spent the last decade helping other aspiring female players avoid making the same mistakes she made. She works diligently day in and day out with players, parents, coaches and associations, teaching them how to develop the most complete players possible both on and off the ice.
Kim played her minor hockey for the Toronto-Leaside organization and went on to play at Dartmouth College in the Ivy League, where she was team captain and graduated with a degree in both molecular biology and moral philosophy. After returning to Canada, Kim played in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League for 6 years while completing her Master’s Degree from York University in Kinesiology, where she studied motor control and learning in elite hockey players. Over her 10+ year coaching career, Kim has had the opportunity to learn from the world’s best on-ice coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, and work with elite players from both the men’s and women’s game.
After having played at the highest levels of women’s hockey in the world for the last decade, Kim “retired” to focus on helping other players achieve their goals. Kim has been the Girls Hockey Director at the PEAC School For Elite Athletes in Toronto since 2009 and will be coaching the Toronto-Leaside Bantam AA team and Toronto Aeros Midget AA team in the 2011-2012 season. She was an assistant coach with the Toronto-Leaside Midget AA and Markham-Stouffville PWHL teams in the 2010-2011 season. Kim continues to work with both the National and Provincial Under-18 programs and was selected as a head coach for the 2010 Ontario Winter Games.
