Since we’re in the midst of March Break and playoffs here in Toronto, with provincials and tryouts just around the corner, I didn’t want to send you anything too deep or detailed this week.
But I thought this was important.
I had a very interesting experience with one of my players a few weeks ago that was so eye-opening for me that I knew I had to share it with you.
To give you a little bit of background, this player has come almost all of my camps over the last two years, has used my training manuals, receives my newsletters, watches my YouTube videos, and is also one of the players I coach and train as part of the girls’ hockey program at the PEAC School For Elite Athletes in Toronto.
And when she made this one comment to me last month, I realized that I had some real work to do when it comes to helping you move closer to your goals and dreams.
She asked me…
“What exactly does Total Female Hockey do?”
My instant, and unconscious, response was:
“Are you kidding me?” (I didn’t say that out-loud)
This player trains with me everyday at school, comes to all my events, uses my products and reads my articles, and she doesn’t understand what Total Female Hockey is all about.
Let’s be clear… This isn’t her fault at all - it’s mine.
I quickly realized that each and every one of you first came to the Total Female Hockey community in a different way.
:: Some of you found the site while browsing on the web.
:: Some heard me speak at a tournament.
:: Some of you watched my ridiculous YouTube videos.
:: Some came to one of my speed camps or concussion clinics.
:: Some got referred here by a friend or teammate.
The more I think about it, the more I realize that I haven’t done a very good job of painting a complete picture of exactly what Total Female Hockey does and how we can help you move closer to your goals and dreams.
This whole adventure started back in 2008 with a simple website, a weekly newsletter and a single off-ice training manual. Just 18 months later, we’ve become a “one-stop shop” for any player, parent or coach looking for ways to take their game to the next level both on and off the ice.
And while I just kept adding more and more to the list of ways that we can help you get to that next level, I didn’t do a great job of letting you know about everything we are doing.
SO HERE’S WHAT I’VE DONE:
I created a simple one page brochure that outlines EVERYTHING we do from products, to on-ice camps, to college recruiting events, to off-ice team training and testing.
The truth is that I eat, sleep, and breathe girls’ hockey, and I am constantly looking for ways to help you get better. That’s what Total Female Hockey is all about. Giving you all the inspiration and information you need to move you closer to your goals. I want to give you access to all the things that I wish I had when I was a young player coming up through the ranks with absolutely no idea if I was on the right track to reaching my goals and spent way too much time tired, frustrated and stressed out that I wouldn’t realize my hockey dreams.
So click on the link below and have a look at the brochure, and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you out.

If there is anything on that page that have questions about, feel free to email me directly.
I’m here to help you in any way I can.
