SuccessDo you ever had a bad day when you can’t do a single thing right out on the ice? Lose a game against a weaker team that you really should beat? Ever been in a slump?

How do you get self-motivated when nothing is going your way?

The path to girls hockey success is simple…it all comes down to how you prepare.

How can you guarantee your success on and off the ice?

You have to follow just one basic philosophy:

Kick your own a__.

Make the commitment to yourself to be great.

No one else can do this for you.

What are you doing to separate yourself from everyone else?

You have a responsibility to yourself to achieve the level of success that you set for yourself both on and off the ice.

Don’t worry about what other people want you to do or what they think you should do or what they expect you to do.

What do you want to achieve?

Becoming a elite female hockey player is all about self-determination.

It is all about HARD WORK that starts before everyone else gets to the rink and finishes after they leave.

No one is going to hand you success.

You have to go out there and get it yourself.

The moment you realize that you are in complete control of your success, that’s the day that you can start becoming a great female hockey player.

Hard work makes luck.

Most players aren’t willing to do the hard work off the ice to make the on-ice part look easy.

They say they want to be great, but they don’t do all the little things on a daily basis that will help them get there.

Do the little things.

Warm-up before every practice and game.

Eat right every day.

Stretch every night.

Do your off-ice training all season long.

Set your goals and then do everything in your power to go get them.

You have to kick your own a__.

If you do what everyone else does, you are going to achieve what they achieve.

WANT MORE from yourself.

EXPECT MORE from yourself.

And most importantly, DO MORE for yourself.

What are you going to do MORE of today to make yourself great?

Set the goal, go get the goal and share your success below.

I’m on my way to ice hockey practice and I’m going to be late as usual because it’s at four in a different city and my school doesn’t get out till 3:15. I’m going to try and get dressed faster then the last time and keep getting faster so I can get more practice time in. At all my practices from now on whenever we have to do a hard lap in between drills I’ll always do the full lap at full speed, even if the rest of the players are done, cut corners or slowed up. I’m going to play every shot to my best ability and every drill.

I am going to keep working hard at my TFH program and keep making higher goals as I reach my old goals. I am also going to keep making healthy choices for my diet. Tonight I didn’t have time to do my TFH program because I had a long practice outside. I did do 40 puch ups before I left, and I also did 60 push ups during practice with my gear on. Those are horrible! Coach made us stand up, push our but down and hold our sticks straight out for one minute seven times. Those are like Y’s and T’s, only harder. I had to do homework when I got home and eat dinner. Now I have to go to bed. Hopefully tomorrow practice won’t run as late so I’l have time to come home and start part 3. I miss it if I skip a day. It helps my game and I feel stronger each time I do it.
    Good night!
