Today I am announcing the WINNER of the Total Female Hockey Transformation Contest! The initial action that you all took in writing out your mission statement was awesome. It was a lot harder to choose the winner than I had anticipated. I have posted the winning mission statement below and my comments about what makes it so amazing. If you haven’t written out your own personal mission statement yet, I recommend that you do it now, because there are still 72 days left to win the (bigger) GRAND Prize on January 1st, 2009.

The Total Female Hockey Transformation Contest “BEFORE” Winner is…

Congratulations to Sarah Blake, Our First Ever Winner of the Total Female Hockey Transformation Contest!

Here is Sarah’s Contest Winning Mission Statement:

Sarah’s mission statement is to not only to shake the rust off of 3 seasons off the ice, but to become a better hockey player than I ever was before I stopped playing. Also, the work that I do on my own this year will make me good enough to make the U16 team next year and have my best and final hockey season of my pre-college years. I will not only work on my strength and stamina but I will do stick handling drills every day, get to stick and puck at least twice a week, and start playing in the adult hockey league. But most importantly, I will not lose sight of what caused me to give up so much just so I could play hockey again, even though I’ll only have the opportunity to play one season before going off to college—the pure love of the game. In moments of frustration I will not second guess my decision and say it was not worth it as I’ll never get anywhere because it’s not true. Just thinking about the game fills me with a passion and excitement that nothing else matches, and as long as it does, that is the only thing that matters.

Coach Kim’s Comments:

It was that final sentence that really got me Sarah. In order to take your game to the next level you’ve got to be committed to going the extra mile, with little things like working on your stickhandling and strength. But it is your passion and excitement for the game that is really going to help you pull through the tough times. From the sounds of it, you’ve already overcome some major obstacles in your career and it’s that ability to persevere that is going to allow you to reach each and every goal that you set.

Awesome job Sarah - Congratulations on being the 1st ever winner of the Total Female Hockey Transformation Contest!

But WAIT…There are 3 MORE WINNERS!

The reason that it was so hard for me to choose a winner for the “Before” prize was that there are another 3 AMAZING PLAYERS who have absolutely blown me away, not only with their mission statements, but also with their ability to TAKE ACTION.

Madeleine Cho, Amy Lemenager, and Megan Shipton have set some great goals for the rest of 2008 and have all shown that they are committed to doing whatever it takes to reach those goals over the next 10 weeks.

They have each been taking consistent to take their game to the next level and have been sharing their success stories and strategies in the comment sections below the tips they’ve used on Total Female Hockey Club. I know that these three are going to be in the running to be the GRAND prize winner of the Total Female Hockey Transformation Contest because of the commitment they’ve made.

==> And making that kind of commitment PAYS OFF in more ways than one.

All three of these players are well on their way to having their best season ever…

And I am going to give each of them a PRIZE that will keep them going strong for the next 10 weeks.

Amy, Megan and Madeleine will each be receiving a copy Total Hockey Strength, my girls-specific in-season strength training program. Now they each have specific training plans to follow that will help them take their game up to another level in the next 10 weeks.

Keep up the great work girls and I look forward to reading all of your great success stories at Total Female Hockey Club.

So there you have it. Sarah is the “Before” winner of the Total Female Hockey Transformation Contest. She receives the Total Female Hockey Ultimate Training Package, plus 4 hours of phone consultation with me on how to take her game to an even higher level this season. And as a special reward for their amazing commitment to becoming the best, Amy, Megan and Madeleine will each receive the brand-new Total Hockey Strength In-Season Workout Program.

Congratulations to the 4 winners of the Total Female Hockey Transformation Contest “Before” Prizes. You stepped up, took action, and poured your heart and soul into it. You have already taken it to the next level.

I hope that this contest has inspired you to write out your season-changing mission statement for the next 10 weeks and beyond. If you haven’t already shared your mission statement, I encourage you to post it below. There’s a lot of power in “setting” your goals in public. It makes them that much more REAL and will really inspire you to take some serious action towards “getting” those goals. Plus, I will be here to support you every step of the way as you take action every day towards achieving those goals.

==> What’s your mission statement to achieve take your game to the next level?

Make the commitment to take your game to the next level in the next 10 weeks. There are still 72 days until New Year’s Day which gives you plenty of time to take action and be in the running for the GRAND prize.

So take a few minutes to share your mission statement below and then share all of your progress and success with us here at Total Female Hockey Club.
